When using starch glue, which can be bought in stores, dilute it with water at a ratio of about 50 : 50 in a sauce dish or other container, etc. For homemade paste, mix (wheat) flour with water at a ratio of about 100 : 500-700 and cook the mixture on low heat, stirring constantly. This will give you an excellent paste. |

Place an old newspaper at any other protective paper on a table. Starch the fancy paper over the newspaper, etc. for pasting. Be sure to paste the thin paper - the cardboard. Use the right amount of paste - not too much, not too little. Too much paste may ruin the finish while too little paste may cause the fancy paper to peel off. |

After applying easily to the fancy paper, wait about one minute until the paper softens with the absorbed paste, then apply it onto the cardboard. (Note: When using Japanese paper, or 'Washi', no waiting is necessary). When sticking the paper to the corners of the cardbord, cut the corresponding section of the fancy paper with a scissors. This will give you a beautiful finish. |
|
When pasting, always wipe the paste from your hands with a wet towel. This will ensure a beautiful finish. After pasting, smooth the surface to remove the air between the fancy paper and cardboard. |

Follow the easy steps outlined above for a beautiful finish |
